Summary
This study tested a program called Social Engage (S-ENGAGE) designed to help Spanish-speaking Latino adults who feel socially isolated and have suicidal thoughts. The program uses action planning to help participants set goals and take steps to increase their cultural-social activities. Researchers enrolled 54 adults and measured changes in social engagement and suicide risk. The goal is to develop a practical suicide prevention program for this community.
