Blood test may spot returning head and neck cancer early

NCT ID NCT06606028

First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a blood test that finds tumor DNA can detect cancer relapse in people with head and neck cancer after they finish curative treatment. Researchers will follow 250 adults who had surgery or radiation and take blood samples over time. The goal is to see if a positive test result matches with cancer returning, but this study does not provide any treatment or change patient care.
