Blood test may spot returning head and neck cancer early

NCT ID NCT06606028

First seen Nov 12, 2025 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a blood test that finds tiny bits of tumor DNA (called ctDNA) can tell if head and neck cancer has returned after successful treatment. Researchers will follow 250 adults who have finished curative surgery or radiation. The goal is to see if a positive ctDNA test is linked to cancer relapse, which could help doctors catch recurrence sooner.
