Could a DNA blood test transform cancer care?

NCT ID NCT06202131

First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a blood or stool test that detects tumor DNA (called ctDNA) can help doctors better manage gastrointestinal cancers like pancreas, colon, and bile duct cancer. About 100 adults with these cancers will provide samples, and researchers will track survival to see if the test results relate to how well patients do. The goal is to learn if this test can guide treatment decisions, not to test a new drug or cure.
