Summary
This study tests whether a CT-guided nerve block called celiac plexus neurolysis can relieve severe abdominal pain in people with upper gastrointestinal cancer better than standard pain medication. About 110 adults with biopsy-proven upper GI cancer and severe pain will be randomly assigned to receive either the nerve block or usual pharmacotherapy. Pain levels are measured at the start and after four weeks to see which approach offers greater relief.
