Freezing tumors to boost immune attack on spreading cancer

NCT ID NCT04701918

Summary

This study tested whether freezing one tumor site (cryoablation) could help the body's immune system work better when combined with immunotherapy drugs (pembrolizumab or avelumab) for people with advanced bladder cancer that has spread. The goal was to see if this combination could shrink other tumors in the body. It involved a small group of patients and aimed to measure tumor response and safety.
