Can IBD patients take less medicine? new study aims to find out

NCT ID NCT07303686

Summary

This study is testing whether patients with Crohn's disease or ulcerative colitis who are in deep remission can safely reduce the frequency of their ustekinumab injections. Researchers want to see if patients can space out their shots from every 4 weeks to every 8 weeks, or from every 8 weeks to every 12 weeks, without their symptoms returning. They will monitor patients for a year to check their health and inflammation levels.
