NCT ID NCT04486326

Summary

This study tested whether a medicine called crofelemer, made from a South American plant, could help reduce diarrhea in adults with functional bowel problems. It compared the plant-based medicine to a placebo (inactive pill) in 17 participants over 4 weeks. The main goal was to see if it improved stool consistency and was safe to use.
