Can a common sports supplement shield the aging brain from Surgery's mental fog?
NCT ID NCT07310043
Summary
This study is testing whether taking creatine, a supplement often used by athletes, can help protect the brain in older adults having surgery. Surgery can sometimes cause temporary problems with memory, thinking, and attention. Researchers will give creatine to 80 older adults before and after their operations to see if it reduces these cognitive issues.
