NCT ID NCT05359965

First seen Mar 10, 2026 · Last updated May 07, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study looked at whether using a CPAP machine (a device that helps keep airways open during sleep) could reduce abnormal acid reflux and lung inflammation in people with idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) who also have sleep apnea. The study planned to enroll about 7 participants but was terminated early, so results are limited. The goal was to measure changes in certain biomarkers linked to lung inflammation.
