Common household items tested as COVID-19 virus fighters
NCT ID NCT04802408
Summary
This study is testing whether rinsing the nose with diluted baby shampoo and gargling with Listerine mouthwash for four days can reduce the amount of COVID-19 virus in recently infected adults. Researchers are comparing this combination against saline rinses to see which is more effective at lowering virus levels. The goal is to find a simple, low-cost method that might help reduce virus spread from infected people.
