Simple position change could help COVID patients avoid ventilators
NCT ID NCT05178212
Summary
This study looked at a non-invasive treatment for adults with severe COVID-19 who were struggling to breathe. It combined high-flow oxygen through the nose with having patients lie on their stomachs while awake. The goal was to see if this approach could help patients avoid needing a breathing tube and ventilator, and reduce the risk of death.
