First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 24, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study looked at whether an extra COVID-19 booster shot helps people with weakened immune systems, such as those with inflammatory bowel disease or organ transplant recipients, build better protection against the virus. Researchers measured antibody levels before and after the booster in 21 participants over 6 months. The goal was to see if the booster improves immune response in these vulnerable groups.
