Summary

This study tests a stepped alcohol treatment program delivered via telemedicine for 180 adults with chronic liver disease who drink heavily. Participants are randomly assigned to either the program (motivational interviewing sessions plus possible referral to addiction medicine) or usual care. The goal is to see if the program helps reduce alcohol use and improve liver health over 6 to 12 months.
