First seen Mar 15, 2026 · Last updated May 04, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at 100 people who had weight-loss surgery (gastric bypass or sleeve) to see if changes in the stress hormone cortisol lead to low blood sugar episodes after eating. Participants will have a meal test and blood draws to measure cortisol and related hormones. No treatment is given—the goal is simply to understand the connection better.
