First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 22, 2026 · Updated 36 times
Summary
This early-phase trial tests a combination of three drugs—copanlisib, olaparib, and durvalumab—in people with advanced solid tumors that have spread or can't be removed by surgery. The goal is to find the safest dose and see if the drugs work together to shrink tumors. Only patients with specific genetic mutations in their tumors are eligible.

What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Copanlisib, olaparib, and durvalumab
What this could lead to
If this works, it could point toward a new treatment option for people with advanced solid tumors that have specific genetic mutations.
What could go wrong
This is a very early (Phase 1) and small trial (39 people), so it's mainly checking safety and dosing. The combination may cause significant side effects and may not shrink tumors in most patients.
