Cool roofs could save lives in World's hottest neighborhoods

NCT ID NCT06579950

Summary

This global study is testing whether painting roofs with special reflective coatings can keep homes cooler and prevent heat-related health problems. Researchers are working with 3,200 people in five hot climate regions where housing conditions make residents especially vulnerable to extreme heat. They'll compare health outcomes between homes with regular roofs and those with the new reflective coatings.
