Cool roofs may cool minds: trial targets Heat-Driven anxiety

Summary

This study tests whether painting roofs with a special reflective coating can lower indoor temperatures and improve mental health. About 800 people in Ahmedabad, India, who live in homes with poor insulation will be randomly assigned to get a cool roof or not. Researchers will measure changes in depression, anxiety, and PTSD symptoms over time.
