Summary

This study tests whether special reflective roof coatings can lower indoor temperatures and improve health in hot, low-income communities. Researchers will measure heart rate, blood sugar, depression, and heat-related illnesses in 3,200 adults living in Burkina Faso, Mexico, India, Niue, and Fiji. The goal is to find a simple, low-cost way to reduce the harmful effects of extreme heat.
