Could a simple shoe insole ease constipation for seriously ill patients?

NCT ID NCT07339293

Summary

This study tested whether a special insole, designed using reflexology principles, could help manage constipation in people receiving palliative care. For four weeks, one group of patients walked for 20 minutes a day wearing the insoles, while another group walked without them. Researchers measured changes in constipation severity, bowel habits, and overall comfort to see if the easy-to-use insoles could be a helpful addition to care.
