First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tested a new type of CT scanner that takes pictures while patients lie on the treatment couch during radiation therapy for cancer. The goal was to see if the images were clear enough to help doctors aim radiation more precisely. 41 adults with head and neck, lung, breast, abdominal, or pelvic cancer took part. The study did not provide treatment, only tested the scanner's image quality.
