Summary
This study tested whether wearing compression socks, tights, or an abdominal belt helps older adults with orthostatic hypotension (a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing up). 43 hospitalized patients aged 60+ had their blood pressure measured while standing, with and without compression. The goal was to see if these simple, non-drug devices can reduce blood pressure drops and related symptoms like dizziness.
