First seen Mar 08, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 12 times
Summary
This study looked at 50 men having robot-assisted prostate surgery to compare two ways of using a breathing machine: flow-controlled ventilation and volume-controlled ventilation. The goal was to see which method helps maintain better oxygen levels and lung function during surgery. Researchers used a special imaging tool to monitor the lungs in real time and adjust settings for each patient.
