VA study tests One-Size-Fits-All therapy against standard treatments
NCT ID NCT04293341
Summary
This study compared two types of talk therapy for veterans with PTSD, depression, or panic disorder. Researchers tested if a single, streamlined therapy could work as well as separate, disorder-specific therapies. 304 veterans received 12 weeks of either the new combined approach or the standard therapy matched to their main diagnosis. The goal was to see if the simpler approach could reduce symptoms like anxiety, low mood, and trauma reactions just as effectively.
