NCT ID NCT03694015

First seen Mar 11, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 13 times

Summary

This study compared two ways of giving palliative radiotherapy to people with cancer that has spread to the bones. The goal was to see which method better prevents nausea and vomiting caused by radiation, while still controlling pain. About 160 adults with bone metastases took part, receiving either standard simple radiotherapy or a more advanced 3D conformal technique. The study was stopped early, but results may help guide future care.
