NCT ID NCT07617090
First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study compares three types of progressive lenses to see which provides the widest clear vision at distances from 4 meters down to 25 centimeters. About 26 presbyopic participants will test each lens in a random, double-blind order. The goal is to help eye doctors choose the best lens for people who need sharp vision at both arm's length and close up.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
progressive addition lenses (PALs)
What this could lead to
If successful, this study could help eye doctors recommend the best lens design for people who need clear vision at arm's length and close up.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage study with only 26 participants, so results may not apply to everyone. The main risk is temporary eye strain from testing.
