First seen May 08, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026

Summary

This study tested two methods of numbing chest nerves (thoracic paravertebral block) to control pain after lung surgery. 180 adults having minimally invasive lung surgery were randomly assigned to get the nerve block either by ultrasound guidance or by direct sight during surgery. The main goal was to see which method reduced the need for morphine painkillers.
