First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 16 times
Summary
This study looked at two different methods to widen the upper jaw in adults with a narrow jaw. About 50 adults received either a surgical or a non-surgical approach. Researchers used 3D scans to measure how much the jaw expanded and how stable the results were over 12 months. The goal is to help dentists and surgeons choose the best treatment for each patient.
