NCT ID NCT04598880

First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026

Summary

This study compared two low-volume laxatives (PEG with ascorbate vs. sodium picosulfate with magnesium citrate) for colon cleansing before colonoscopy. Over 1,100 outpatients participated to see which laxative provides a better view of the colon, helping doctors find polyps and cancer. The goal was to improve detection and make the preparation easier for patients.
