Prostate surgery showdown: which technique cuts hospital time?
NCT ID NCT06649357
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study compares two common surgeries for an enlarged prostate (BPH): a newer laser technique (MoLEP) and a standard electrical procedure (Bi-TURP). About 130 men with moderate to severe symptoms will be randomly assigned to one surgery. The main goal is to see which approach leads to a shorter hospital stay, while also looking at surgery time, complications, and how well symptoms improve.
