Which biopsy method best spots Pre-Cancer in IBD patients?

Summary

This study compares two ways of taking biopsies during colonoscopy in people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). About 1642 participants will be randomly assigned to either a limited biopsy approach or a more extensive random biopsy approach. The goal is to see which method finds more precancerous lesions, helping improve cancer prevention in IBD patients. Participants will be followed for up to 15 years.
