New study aims to boost opioid treatment access in hardest-hit communities

Summary

This study looks at ways to help people of color living in areas with high opioid overdose rates start and continue medication-assisted treatment (MAT). About 525 adults who are currently using opioids or alcohol and want to cut down will take part. Researchers will track how many treatment sessions they attend and whether they stick with their recovery plan.
