HIV prevention at your doorstep: study tests community PrEP delivery

NCT ID NCT06176859

First seen Jan 12, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 16 times

Summary

This study tests whether delivering HIV prevention medication (PrEP) directly in communities is better than requiring clinic visits. About 2,500 young people in South Africa will receive PrEP either at a clinic or through a community-based service. The goal is to see if community delivery increases PrEP use and makes prevention easier and more accessible.
