Tiny implant offers new hope for nerve pain sufferers

Summary
This study tests a small implant that sends mild electrical pulses to nerves to treat long-lasting pain from nerve damage after injury or surgery. About 185 adults with chronic pain in the back, shoulder, knee, or foot will either receive the implant plus standard care or standard care alone. The goal is to see if the implant provides better pain relief and improves daily function.
