New drug cocktail shows promise for Tough-to-Treat myeloma

NCT ID NCT01665794

First seen Jun 27, 2026 ยท Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tested a combination of three drugs (pomalidomide, dexamethasone, and carfilzomib) in 25 people with multiple myeloma that had come back or stopped responding to prior treatments. The goal was to find the safest dose and see how well the drugs worked together to control the cancer. While the treatment aims to shrink tumors, it is not a cure, and patients may need ongoing therapy.
