First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This phase 2 trial is testing a combination of four drugs (carfilzomib, lenalidomide, dexamethasone, and daratumumab) given before and after a stem cell transplant for people with multiple myeloma that has come back after prior treatment. The study includes 41 participants and aims to see how many achieve complete remission. The goal is to find a more effective way to control the disease.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
carfilzomib, lenalidomide, dexamethasone, and daratumumab
What this could lead to
If successful, this combination could offer a more effective treatment option for people with multiple myeloma that has returned after previous therapies.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-phase trial (41 participants) with no control group, so results may not apply broadly. The intensive drug regimen also carries risks of serious side effects.
