Chilling solution for heart surgery bleeding?
NCT ID NCT06147531
Summary
This study is a pilot test to see if a future large trial is possible. It compares two ways of storing platelets, a blood component that helps with clotting, before giving them to adult heart surgery patients who are bleeding. The goal is to see if platelets stored cold work as well as and are as safe as those stored at room temperature.
