First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looked at whether starting cognitive training early in the hospital and continuing it at home can improve thinking and memory in older adults (65+) who experience delirium during a hospital stay. 283 participants were randomly assigned to receive either the cognitive training program or usual care. The goal was to see if the training helped their overall brain function four months later.
