NCT ID NCT07248566
First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study tests a special therapy called Cognitive Sensory Motor Training (CSMT) to see if it can improve hand and arm function in children with cerebral palsy. The therapy combines physical tasks with mental exercises to boost coordination and sensory awareness. Researchers will compare CSMT plus routine physical therapy to routine physical therapy alone in 32 children aged 6-12.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
Cognitive Sensory Motor Training Therapy
What this could lead to
If it works, this could offer a new therapy to improve hand and arm function in children with cerebral palsy.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage trial with only 32 participants, so results may not apply to all children with cerebral palsy. The therapy is non-invasive but requires consistent effort over 12 weeks.
