NCT ID NCT05708755
First seen May 31, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tests whether a blood test that measures immunity to a common virus (CMV) can safely guide how long lung transplant recipients need to take an antiviral drug called valganciclovir. The goal is to shorten the duration of preventive treatment, reducing side effects and drug burden. Fifty adult lung transplant patients with pre-existing CMV immunity will be enrolled, and their CMV infection rates will be tracked.
