Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only โ not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- CM336 (a bispecific antibody targeting BCMA and CD3)
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could offer a new treatment option for people with hard-to-treat autoimmune blood disorders like ITP or autoimmune hemolytic anemia.
- What could go wrong
- This is an early-phase trial (Phase 1/2) with a small number of participants, so safety and effectiveness are not yet proven. There are risks of serious side effects like cytokine release syndrome.
