Summary
This study looked at 253 women who had breast reconstruction using their own tissue (DIEP flap) after mastectomy. Researchers compared a special vacuum-assisted wound dressing to regular dressings to see if it helped reduce complications and speed healing. The goal was to find out if the vacuum dressing is safe and effective for these patients.
