New app could help doctors see Kids' blood sugar in real time

NCT ID NCT06899503

First seen Apr 09, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 8 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a special phone app can reliably send blood sugar readings from children with diabetes to the hospital's computer system. Currently, these readings are only available on a bedside device or phone app, not to the care team in real time. The study will enroll 20 children already using a Dexcom G7 continuous glucose monitor. The goal is to see if the app accurately and completely transfers the data, which could help doctors make faster decisions.
