New injection shows promise for painful skin condition

Summary
This study is testing whether an experimental drug called CIT-013 can reduce symptoms of hidradenitis suppurativa, a chronic inflammatory skin disease that causes painful lumps under the skin. 96 adults with moderate-to-severe HS who haven't responded well to antibiotics will receive either CIT-013 injections or placebo shots every other week for 12 weeks. Researchers will compare the two groups to see if CIT-013 reduces disease activity and is safe for patients.
