New computer tool aims to help doctors and patients tackle chronic pain together
NCT ID NCT05256394
Summary
This study tested a computer-based decision support tool designed to help doctors and patients work together on chronic pain treatment plans. It involved 39 patients with chronic musculoskeletal pain and a history of opioid use from primary care clinics. The main goal was to see if providing tailored support for using this tool would lead doctors to adopt it more often and improve shared decision-making, potentially leading to safer treatment choices.
