Mindfulness or switch? study maps paths to ease chronic back pain
NCT ID NCT03859713
Summary
This study aimed to find the most effective sequence of non-drug treatments for adults with chronic low back pain. It tested whether starting with physical therapy or cognitive behavioral therapy worked best. For people who didn't improve with their first treatment, it then tested whether switching to the other therapy or trying mindfulness was more helpful.
