Summary
This study tests whether intensive cholesterol-lowering therapy can increase cancer-fighting immune cells in the prostate. About 140 men with prostate cancer who are under active surveillance will take a cholesterol-lowering drug for 3 to 6 months before a planned biopsy. The goal is to see if lowering cholesterol boosts CD8+ T cells, which help the body attack cancer.
