First seen May 14, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study will follow 2800 Chinese adults aged 18-60 who are overweight or obese for five years. Researchers want to see how their health changes over time, especially whether they develop type 2 diabetes or related complications. Participants will use a smartphone app to track their health and complete check-ups at the start, at 2.5 years, and at 5 years. The goal is to better understand the link between weight and metabolic disease.
