Summary
This study tested a single-dose chikungunya vaccine (VLA1553) in about 750 teenagers aged 12 to 17. The goal was to see if the vaccine safely produces enough antibodies to protect against the virus. Participants received either the vaccine or a placebo, and their immune responses were tracked for a year.
