Simple wrap could ease painful complication after breast cancer surgery

NCT ID NCT03598712

Summary

This study tested whether wearing a special chest bandage could help reduce the need for repeated needle drainage procedures in breast cancer patients who develop a painful fluid buildup (seroma) after a mastectomy. Half of the 60 participants wore the bandage in addition to receiving standard drainage, while the other half received drainage alone. The goal was to see if the bandage's gentle compression could help the body absorb the fluid faster, improving recovery and quality of life.
